Our Story
Who We Are
Killeen Backflow Testing is a locally owned and operated company. Our testers handle annual backflow testing, RPZ and double check valve testing, irrigation and fire line assemblies, repairs, replacements and new installations. We started with a simple idea: people who get a backflow notice deserve a company that shows up when it says it will, explains the results in plain terms and takes care of the paperwork.
How we work is simple. You call with your notice or a few details about your property. We set a time, test the assembly with a calibrated test kit and tell you whether it passed. If it did, we file the report with your water provider. If it did not, we explain why and give you a free quote for the repair before any work starts.
Central Texas conditions shape what we look for on every visit. Hard water leaves scale on check seats and relief valves, summer heat wears on above-ground covers, and the occasional hard freeze can crack a valve body. Below-grade boxes collect mud, water and insects. We point out these issues when we see them, so small problems get handled before they cause a failed test.
Backflow prevention protects the drinking water that everyone in the area shares, and we take that seriously. We keep communication clear from the first call to the filed report, and when the work is done, our job is not over. Quality is guaranteed, and if something about our work is not right, we come back and make it right.
How We Work
What You Can Expect
A clear, low-pressure way to get your backflow test done and reported.
Plain Answers
Backflow terms, assembly types and water provider forms can be confusing. We explain them in plain language, tell you what your notice is asking for and walk you through test results, repair options and what affects cost before you decide anything.
Local Testers, Every Property Type
We test assemblies across the Killeen-Temple area, from sprinkler systems in Harker Heights and Copperas Cove to restaurants, offices and apartment complexes in Killeen, Belton and Temple. The tester who visits explains the results to you directly.
Quality Guaranteed
Repair and installation quotes are free, and there is no commitment until you approve the work. We stand behind every test, repair and installation we do. If something about our work is not right, let us know and we will come back to make it right.
How It Works
Three Steps to a Passing Backflow Test
Getting your backflow test done is simple. You call, we test, and the results go to your water provider.
Call With Your Notice
Call or fill out the short form with your address, the due date on your notice and anything you know about the assembly, such as whether it sits in a box in the yard, on a wall outside the building or on a fire line. If you are not sure what kind of assembly you have, that is fine. We can figure it out on site. Then we set a time for the visit that works for you.
We Test the Assembly
Our tester locates the assembly, checks that it is the right type for the connection and attaches a calibrated test kit to the test cocks. The test checks each check valve, the relief valve on an RPZ and the shutoff valves. Water to that line is off only briefly while the test runs. If small debris or a sticky part is the problem, a simple cleaning or adjustment may be all it needs.
Results Filed, Repairs if Needed
When the assembly passes, we complete the test report and submit it to your water provider in the form it requires, then keep a copy on file for you. If it fails, we explain why, give you a clear quote for the repair or replacement and fix it once you approve. After any repair, we retest the assembly and file the passing results so your account is up to date.
